I read the Ten Boom famiy’s story several years ago. It made a deep impression on my
life. It helps us remember that no matter how much evil is in this world, God’s love is greater
and it is in that love where we find the victory over that evil. The strength of the Ten Booms
came from their knowledge of the Word of God. Without that, they would not have had the faith
that they needed to do the things that God asked of them. There is only one story of love and
hope that trumps this beautiful story and that is the story of what Jesus did for us on the
